What is nutrition and food science?
The study of nutrition and food science explores the intricate relationship between food and human health. Courses in nutrition and food science are designed for students interested in entering the nutrition or food science profession, dietetics field or positions in a variety of food businesses, research and development. Wayne State's curriculum combines the basic science studies needed for professionals (e.g., M.D., D.D.S.) and advanced education with the applied studies of human nutrition.
