Minor in Fairy-Tale and Folklore Studies

The minor in folklore and fairy-tale studies provides students with an interdisciplinary foundation in the field of folklore and fairy-tale studies.

Core courses provide a solid background to understand the history of European, African, Native American, Asian and other world traditions of myth, ritual, folklore, and fairy tale. The minor introduces students to different storytelling genres and media and can help you acquire skills relevant for library sciences, museum studies, historical societies, careers in media, and more.
