Undergraduate Certificate in Practical German
Wayne State's Undergraduate Certificate in Practical German equips students with essential skills to read, write, listen and speak German proficiently. This program prepares graduates to handle everyday tasks in German-speaking environments, describe people and things, express and understand opinions, and interpret the main points of various media.
Students in the certificate program will explore the cultural differences and practices that allow them to better understand and function within German cultures. These skills are particularly important in Michigan where there are extensive cooperations and economic interconnections between Germany and the U.S. Many graduate and professional programs also require certified language skills. This German language certificate program is perfect for students seeking practical communication skills for travel, work or study abroad.
