Research is a critical part of the life of the Department of Classical & Modern Languages, Literatures, and Cultures (CMLLC). Our award-winning faculty publish books and articles in a wide variety of fields; edit journals and are members of advisory boards; win grants; travel to conferences and collaborate with scholars from universities across the globe.

Conducting research is also a vital part of graduate and undergraduate education in CMLLC. Graduate students organize an annual conference and present at national and international conferences; undergraduates take part in the annual Rushton Undergraduate Conference and can apply for university funding for their research.
