Research

Research is a critical part of the life of the Department of Classical and Modern Languages, Literatures and Cultures (CMLLC). Our award-winning faculty publish books and articles in a wide variety of fields, edit journals, serve on advisory boards, acquire grants, travel to conferences and collaborate with scholars from universities across the globe.

Conducting research is also a vital part of graduate and undergraduate education in CMLLC. Graduate students organize an annual conference and present at national and international conferences. Undergraduates take part in the annual Undergraduate Research Symposium and can apply for university funding for their research.
