Undergraduate Certificate in Practical Italian

Wayne State's Undergraduate Certificate in Practical Italian allows students to develop essential skills in reading, writing, listening and speaking Italian. This program prepares graduates to navigate daily life in Italian-speaking environments, describe people and objects, express and understand opinions, and interpret key points in various forms of media. With our comprehensive Italian language certificate program, students will enhance their language proficiency and cultural understanding, making it ideal for those aiming to communicate effectively during travel, work or study abroad experiences.

Students in the certificate program will explore the cultural differences and practices that allow them to better understand and function in Italy and its culture. These skills are particularly important in Michigan and the Metro Detroit area where there's a vibrant Italian business community with major automotive, OEM, service and technological companies.
