Bachelor of Arts in Global Studies
The Global Studies program is designed for students passionate about understanding and participating in our diverse world. The major helps prepare students for careers in a wide variety of professions, including business, government, law, media, academics, health care, the arts, and more.
Students learn about global institutions, issues, and movements from an interdisciplinary perspective by developing language skills, taking core courses in humanities and social sciences; and specializing in global politics, health and environment, and cultures and identities.
Global studies honors
The Global studies honors program offers capable students the opportunity to pursue independent study and to work closely with department faculty members. Completion of the honors major results in an honors degree designation on the diploma.
Students who started their global studies degree before fall 2018 must do the writing intensive in conjunction with a 4000-level class. They must get a professor to agree to work with them, make a plan, fill out the WI Agreement, and turn it into the Global Studies advisor.
