Wayne State's bachelor of science in public health program offers training in public health issues and policies to students interested in a broad range of health careers. Public Health AGRADE Spotlight: Abby Vaquera

Public health student Abby Vaquera is a part of the Accelerated Graduate Enrollment (AGRADE) program. AGRADE allows students to graduate with both a bachelor’s and a master’s degree in just five years. Here is what she has to say about the program.

After completing the undergraduate public health program at Wayne State University, I made the decision to join the Peace Corps and become a public health volunteer in Mongolia where I perform a multitude of responsibilities that range from the prevention of non-communicable diseases in communities to teaching health classes at secondary schools in both rural and urban environments.
