Research resources

Gordon L. Grosscup Museum of Anthropology

The Grosscup Museum trains university students in the activities of preservation, research, interpretation, and exhibition of material culture for the benefit and enrichment of the local community.

Material Cultures Lab

Gathered during ethnographic fieldwork by Guérin C. Montilus, Ph.D., the Material Culture Lab contains various secular and religious objects and artworks from Benin, Nigeria, Haiti, Cuba and Brazil, among others.

Wayne State Humanities Clinic

The Humanities Clinic brings humanities and social science expertise to communities throughout Detroit. The mission of the clinic is to prepare Ph.D. students for meaningful and diverse careers while supporting local businesses and non-profits.
