Minor in Queer Studies
Wayne State's queer studies minor prepares students from all disciplines to deepen their knowledge about queer, trans genders and sexualities and the tools and methods used to study them. This minor is ideal for LGBTQIA+ and ally students who want to learn more about queer history and social movements and for any student wishing to document their investment in queer issues as a credential for career goals in health, law, social services, education and non-profits.
Students majoring or minoring in gender, sexuality and women's studies and minoring or co-minoring in queer studies may count two courses (six credits) toward both the major and the minor. Students in other majors may find that some of their major coursework can be counted as electives toward the minor.
