Layout: Admissions pages

Admissions pages for dept./program websites. Admissions content should be exclusively listed on these pages rather than on individual program pages.

#Setup: Primary admissions page

For most departments/programs, this single admissions page is sufficient for both undergraduate and graduate admissions content. Individual undergraduate and graduate admissions pages should only be created if there's unique and sufficient content for them. Otherwise, that content should be consolidated to the single primary admissions page.

 URL: /admissions

Meta description: Admissions info for the Department of {DEPT NAME} at Wayne State University.

Configuration:

  • This page acts as the default undergraduate admissions page in the case where a dedicated graduate admissions page is present.
  • Undergrad and grad admissions buttons should go to the primary university admissions pages, respectively, if the dept./program doesn't have tailored admissions content.
    • Default undergrad link: https://wayne.edu/apply
    • Default grad link: https://gradschool.wayne.edu/admissions
  • Add career outlook button to "Why study" section
  • Include relevant contextual program page links (e.g., "undergraduate programs prepare students to...") in "why study" section.

Page title: Future students: Graduate admissions

 URL: /admissions/grad

Meta description: Graduate admissions info for the Department of {DEPT NAME} at Wayne State University.

Configuration:

  • This page's content will vary by dept./program need but should (at a minimum) address admissions requirements for each graduate program within the dept./program rather than listing admissions info for some and not others.
  • Page should contain "Apply" and "Request info" links (at a minimum).
  • Page should not duplicate significant amounts of content already on the Graduate School website and should instead link over.
  • Deadlines should be kept as general as possible to avoid content becoming easily outdated, e.g., Program deadlines: Winter semester, Oct. 15.
