Spring update from Chairperson Anne Duggan
We are excited to announce a new minor in fairy tales and folklore studies, which will be inaugurated in fall 2018! With this new minor come some exciting courses on the French, German, Italian, and Russian tale traditions, with prospects for a course on Near East tale traditions in the future.
We were most happy to hear that Professor Haiyong Liu in Chinese was named Director of the Linguistics Program.
In January we had a wonderful Third Annual Winter Ball, with some 200 people joining us to dance to music and eat food from around the world, and we are very much looking forward to the annual Graduate Forum Conference to be held Friday and Saturday, April 6-7, 2018. We are honored to welcome keynote speaker Alain-Philippe Durand, from the University of Arizona.
