Master of Arts in Spanish (Romance Languages)
Wayne State's Master of Arts in Romance Languages with a concentration in Spanish provides advanced training in language, literature and culture and helps increase your qualifications for a whole range of careers. Graduates gain skills in translation, textual analysis, and intercultural competency.
The Spanish-speaking community in Southwest Detroit is a vibrant cultural hub in the city. Spanish speakers are in demand across the U.S. in areas including the health professions, business, the legal field and government and non-profit sectors. Our alums hold a variety of positions with private-sector employers, including high school and college-level teaching positions and have gone on to receive a Ph.D. and obtain full-time positions at the University of Michigan, Oakland University and Pepperdine. Applicants must demonstrate competency in Spanish.
