Wayne State announces inaugural Academic Leadership Academy Fellows
Wayne State University has named the first cohort of fellows for its new Academic Leadership Academy (ALA), an initiative designed to support faculty and staff development.
Established by the Office of the Provost, the ALA aims to cultivate leadership skills and advance campus initiatives. Each fellow will design a leadership project focused on improving an aspect of university life. Participants will also take part in a one-day leadership retreat, monthly seminars, mentorship meetings, and a series of assessments.
The Department of Physics congratulations Physics Professor A. Petrov on his recent appointment to the inaugural program.
"ALA fellows will join a community of leaders at Wayne State who value lifelong learning, reflective practice, collaboration, and a commitment to diversity, equity, and inclusion," said Annmarie Cano, associate provost for faculty development and faculty success. "We're excited to see how fellows will apply their leadership to enhance our university."
The program reflects Wayne State’s ongoing commitment to faculty and staff growth, fostering leadership that benefits the entire university community.
