The Department of Physics and Astronomy is proud to announce that Professor Claude A. Pruneau has been elected as a fellow of the American Physical Society.

Election to the American Physical Society Fellowship is a distinct honor signifying recognition by one's professional peers and is limited to no more than one-half of one percent of the Society's membership. The citation recognizing Professor Pruneau's outstanding contributions to physics reads as follows:

"For outstanding contributions to the field of heavy ion collisions, especially in correlations and fluctuations, both experimental measurements and techniques development, broad contributions to undergraduate education, and the publication of two books."
