Professor Alexey A. Petrov named as task force leader for Charm Quark Task Force

Professor Alexey A. Petrov has been named a task force leader for the Intensity Frontier's Charm Quark Task Force.

The goal of the task force is to address physics opportunities in the area of charm physics research (broadly defined) in the United States and the world over two time periods: (1) between now and 2020 and (2) the decade beginning around 2020.

The Task Force is formed in the context of a long-term planning exercise for the Intensity Frontier of the future U.S. high-energy physics program.
