Pramod Lamichhane Ph.D. student wins prestigious visiting scholar award

Ph.D. student Pramod Lamichhane has won a competitive award from the Universities Research Association as visiting scholar at Fermilab for a four and a half month period starting in November.

He will use the award to work at Fermilab's LHC Physics Center on the search for quark and lepton substructure using data from the Compact Muon Solenoid experiment at CERN. In addition to his work on contact interactions, Pramod has been a member of the data quality monitoring team for the CMS experiment and has helped evaluate silicon sensors for the high radiation environment of the LHC.
