WSU Dept. of Physics to host Undergraduate Women in Physics Conference

The Department of Physics and Astronomy is proud to announce that Wayne State University will be hosting the Conference for Undergraduate Women in Physics (CUWiP) in January of 2017.

The 2017 conference takes place on the weekend of Martin Luther King Day and is at nine sites across the country. The other eight sites are:

  • Rice University
  • University of Colorado, Boulder
  • Montana State University
  • Virginia Tech
  • Harvard University
  • Princeton University
  • UCLA
  • U. of Wisconsin, Madison
  • Many thanks are due to Professors Majumder (chair), Sakamoto, J. Huang, and Zhou; the committee who put together the successful application to host the conference. The Department of Physics is also getting support from the College of Liberal Arts and Sciences, Graduate School, Office of Research, and the Office of the Provost.
