Wayne State offers tuition discount for out-of-state students in select graduate programs
Wayne State University’s College of Liberal Arts and Sciences is making a top-tier education more accessible with a special tuition discount for out-of-state students enrolling in select graduate programs for the 2025-26 academic year.
Students admitted to the following programs will qualify for a reduced tuition rate of $1,195.26 per credit hour—a savings of more than 30% compared to the standard non-resident rate:
- Master of Arts in Anthropology
- Master of Arts in Chemistry
- Master of Science in Environmental Science
- Master of Arts in Geology
- Master of Science in Geology
- Master of Arts in Political Science
- Master of Public Administration
- Master of Urban Planning
In addition, out-of-state students in the following programs will qualify for a reduced rate of $956.21 per credit hour — a discount of more than 50%.
“We want to ensure that talented scholars from across the country have the opportunity to pursue advanced studies at Wayne State without financial barriers standing in their way,” said Stephanie Hartwell, dean of the College of Liberal Arts and Sciences. “This tuition reduction is an investment in our students, our programs and their futures.”
