Professor Josiah Rector receives association award
The Association for Gulf and Arabian Peninsula Studies (AGAPS) has selected Josiah Rector as the recipient of its inaugural Best Graduate Student Paper Prize for 2012.
Titled "Labor in a Global City: South Asian Guest Workers in Dubai, 1968-2008," the paper was nominated by Professor May Seikaly, Near Eastern Studies. The Association for Gulf and Arabian Peninsula Studies (AGAPS) is an affiliate organization within the Middle East Studies Association (MESA) and serves as the preeminent organization in its field.
