Student Academy of Audiology (SAA)
The Student Academy of Audiology (SAA) is the national student organization of the American Academy of Audiology that serves as a collective voice for students and advances the rights, interests, and welfare of students pursuing careers in audiology. The SAA introduces students to lifelong involvement in activities that promote and advance the profession of audiology and provides services, information, education, representation and advocacy for the profession and the public we serve.
The Wayne State University Chapter of SAA was formed in 2011 and has been rapidly expanding both its campus and community involvement since that time. Chapter activities include charity fundraising events, advocacy campaigns, hearing screenings at community events, and facilitating both educational and social events for audiology students.
The chapter welcomes new members and invites both graduate and undergraduate students interested in pursuing a career in audiology to join. Contact wsu.saa1@gmail.com to receive information on how to join and future chapter meetings.
Wayne State University Student Speech-Language & Hearing Association (WSSLHA)
