Communication sciences and disorders undergrads honored Phi Beta Kappa member in course

Three undergraduate students from Wayne State University’s Department of Communication Sciences and Disorders have been selected for membership in Phi Beta Kappa, the nation's oldest academic honor society.

Sana Amir, Ayeh Jihad Habhab and Rachel Elizabeth Osterhout have been invited to join the prestigious organization, which celebrates excellence in the liberal arts and sciences.

Membership in Phi Beta Kappa is highly selective. Only 10% of U.S. colleges and universities have a chapter, and no institution may elect more than 10% of a graduating class. Nationwide, just one in 100 college seniors receive an invitation each year.

This recognition reflects the students' dedication and achievements, as well as the academic environment that has supported their development.
