WSU anthropology student invited to join prestigious Phi Beta Kappa

Wayne State University undergraduate Anna Khreizat and 2016 Rosa Parks scholar has been invited to join Phi Beta Kappa, the nation’s oldest and most prestigious academic honor society.

Founded on Dec. 5, 1776, Phi Beta Kappa celebrates excellence in the liberal arts and sciences. Membership is highly selective—only 10% of universities hold a chapter, and no more than 10% of a graduating class may be elected. Nationally, only about one in 100 college seniors receive an invitation each year.

Khreizat’s selection reflects exceptional academic achievement and dedication. The Wayne State chapter will cover the national initiation fee, underscoring the university’s recognition of this distinguished honor.
