Meet Blake Pierce, department secretary

Wayne State's Department of Anthropology's faculty, staff and students extend a warm welcome to our new secretary, Blake A. Pierce!

Before joining Wayne State in January 2023, Blake Pierce was the executive liaison at Macomb Academy, a secondary school for adults with mild-to-moderate cognitive impairments. She worked in the main office, serving as the office manager.

Blake has always been interested in learning more about ancient worlds and societies. She finds the infinite ways of life to be fascinating. While working in the Department of Anthropology, Blake hopes to be able to help students find and enjoy those same passions.

She's very excited to become a part of the Wayne State University tapestry and we are thrilled to welcome her into our community!
