Cuba: Anthropology in Santiago de Cuba and Havana

Join the Department of Anthropology on an exciting study abroad program to Santiago de Cuba and Havana, the two largest cities in the Caribbean island country. The three-week-long program will focus on Cuban historical, social, and cultural realities in Cuba and its neighboring countries. Participants will document their travel in order to understand the complexity of the Cuban identity, history, and culture. Participants will work with the Medical School in Santiago de Cuba and Martires de Giron Medical School in Havana. As part of the program, participants will hear from contributing faculty from the medical schools and other academic institutions, as well as visit historical sites in both cities.
