Anthropology Professors Jung and Newman receive Wenner Gren Foundation for Anthropological Research
Dr. Yuson Jung and Dr. Andrew Newman of the WSU Department of Anthropology are the recipients of an internationally competitive grant from the Wenner Gren Foundation for Anthropological Research for a project on food, culture and politics in the city of Detroit.
The grant funds ethnographic research on the relationship between urban revitalization, food access, and changing forms of governance in the city. Dr. Jung and Dr. Newman's research specialties are in the anthropology of food and urban anthropology respectively.
