This sample plan of work represents one path to degree completion and does not guarantee graduation by the proposed timeline subject to student performance and class availability. Students are advised to meet with their advisor to develop an individualized plan of work.

Strategy

Year 1: Complete general education competency requirements; satisfy General Education NSI requirement.

Year 2: Complete all required basic science courses for neuroscience major; satisfy two General Education Inquiry requirements.

Year 3: Complete neuroscience major core courses; complete remaining university general education requirements; complete CLAS foreign language requirement; begin satisfying CLAS minor requirements

Year 4: Complete CLAS minor requirements. Complete all major program electives.

Courses denoted with (R) satisfy a university general education requirement.

Note: The minor requirement is estimated at 21 credits. Most minors can be completed with significantly fewer credits. Please visit the Minor pairings page for examples of possible minors and how they integrate with the Neuroscience major.
