Danielle McGuire & Kidada Williams detail Michigan rape case

Danielle McGuire and Kidada Williams contributed to Bridge Magazine by writing related essays Raped and left on the Road, she said #Metoo. Jurors said, "No, not you." and SayHerName: Shawana Hall. She is a Hero. The essays detail the discovery of untested rape kits in Detroit, Wayne County Prosecutor Kym Worthy's work to launch what became a state-wide movement to get them tested, and a Kalamazoo County jury's not guilty verdict in a recent prosecution.

McGuire and Williams appeared as guests discussing the essay on WMUK's West SouthWest with Gordon Evans, "Does the #MeToo Movement Include Poor Women of Color?" and WKAR's "Current State."
