Happy PRIDE Month from GSW!

Even though we celebrate WSU #WarriorPride in April, we still have a few summer celebrations coming up:

Friday, June 4, at 12 p.m.: Kick off Pride by joining the WSU team walking to raise money for the Ruth Ellis Center's STRIDE for Pride event! We'll meet in front of Old Main and take a short walk around campus, ending at Common Pub for an optional outdoor social date on their patio. Even if you can't join us to walk, you can donate to our team!

Friday, June 11^th, at 6 p.m.: the Detroit Regional LGBT Chamber of Commerce is hosting PRIDE Night at a Tigers Game! You can get more info or to purchase tickets here.

Wednesday, June 16^th, at 12 p.m.: join the Inclusive Restroom Team as they discuss the project they began on campus in 2019. They will go over the project plan, progress, and next steps. Here's the Zoom Link, and you can check out the current campus bathroom map here.

The Pride fun doesn't stop in June! Here are some other events to look forward to later in the summer and into the fall:

Tuesday, July 13, at 12 p.m.: OMSE's What's Going On Series will include a special "What's Going on with Pronouns?" session, where we'll give some updates on resources for pronoun use and awareness on campus. Come get the latest info on best pronoun practices!

Friday-Sunday, July 23-25: Hotter Than July, Detroit's Pride celebrating the Black LGBTQ+ community, is going virtual for 2021. Find out more and get involved here!

Friday, September 10, 11 a.m.-12 p.m.: Don't miss OMSE's annual LGBTQ+ Welcome Back Luncheon, open to all members of the WSU community!

Wednesday, September 15, 1-3 p.m.: Join us for the FIRST ANNUAL GSW Program Party! Come be in community with us and help us celebrate some exciting developments for the program!

Saturday, September 10: Motor City Pride 2021!

Saturday, October 2: Ferndale Pride 2021!

October 11-15, 2021: Wayne State Coming Out Week!
