Meet writing and media intern Jacqueline Kinnaird
The Department of English would like to introduce our newest writing and media intern, Jacqueline Kinnaird. Jacqueline is a senior graduating in the fall 2020 semester with a bachelor’s in English and a minor in creative writing.
Jacqueline is looking forward to contributing to the English Department this semester, developing her professional skills, learning the fundamentals of establishing a beneficial social media presence, and developing her professional writing through the internship.
Jacqueline is a prose and poetry writer who explores the themes of human relationships, identity, grief, and the trans experience. Outside of the literary arts, Jacqueline also participates in visual art, music, and enjoys consuming all mediums of artistic expression in her free time.
Jacqueline strongly believes in the importance of personal expression and how an English education is an important tool of communication. She hopes to share the stories from fellow students of how their time in the English department has helped them express themselves and their stories. If you have ideas for stories, people who should be featured, or Wayne State events to be publicized, please send them to Interim Associate Chair Lisa Maruca (aa2850) who will pass them to Jacqueline.
