Two English professors receive Keal fellowships
Two professors in the Department of English have been awarded the 2021-2022 Josephine Nevins Keal Faculty Fellowship.
Adrienne Jankens (assistant professor) won the Keal for a project entitled "What Writing Studies Values: Teacher Development and Programmatic Change." In summer 2023, Professor Jankens will use her Keal award to fund continued research for her book-length study of the way that writing program administrators can advance values-driven teacher development as they support graduate teaching assistants.
Sarika Chandra (associate professor) received the Keal for her book project "Race after Representation," which reconsiders theories of race, racism, and antiracism by drawing on contextual frameworks such as globalism and climate change. She will use the Keal for a semester of research leave in fall 2022.
Congratulations to Professor Chandra and Professor Jankens!
