Nicole Varty: American Graduate Champion

Detroit Public Television has named WSU English professor Nicole Varty its "American Graduate Champion" for the month of November.

Nicole Varty teaches composition courses for the Department of English and serves as an instructor for the APEX Scholars program. Professor Varty considers helping students transition into college and providing them with the skills and confidence they need to succeed to be the most rewarding part of her job.
