Criminal justice career fair brings college to career opportunities

Wayne State's Department of Criminology & Criminal Justice hosted its annual career fair on Apr. 17, boasting an impressive turnout with over 302 attendees and 40 recruiters offering a spectrum of opportunities, from full-time positions to internships and co-ops.

Students at the career fairBoth students and recruiters shared glaring insights about this year's conference. Aligning with our President Espy's vision of fostering a "College to Career" pathway for students, the criminology and criminal justice department is committed to ensuring Wayne State's graduates enter the workforce well-prepared and equipped for success. This institutional endeavor aims to drive progress and bolster initiatives that cultivate career readiness among students.

To enhance engagement and maximize their opportunities for networking and professional development, the department introduced a new feature at the career fair, providing students with booklets to guide them in connecting with various recruiters.

Among these were the FBI, Secret Service, MGM Grand Detroit, Michigan Department of Health & Human Services, Olympia Entertainment, Inc., and more.

The Department of Criminology & Criminal Justice remains committed to organizing events for our students, aiding them in achieving success throughout their educational journey.
