Criminal justice career exploration conference

Students at career fair

The Department of Criminology and Criminal Justice strives to prepare students for professional employment after graduation. Our annual career fair, held for over 30 years, is always a successful event, giving students an opportunity to meet on campus with employers. Students, however, have said they want guidance sooner in identifying career paths. To meet this need, we are hosting a one-day career conference in March to precede our career fair in April.

We envision an event where students learn about career opportunities through industry-specific panels and interactive sessions with alumni and professionals who share their experiences from many different career paths. Professionals will provide an in-depth look and understanding of their agency, the variety of career paths within their industry, as well as insights on career planning and preparation.

We're looking to alumni and friends to help. If you or your agency or company are interested in helping sponsor one of these events, provide support or help us get the word out, please let us know at crj@wayne.edu.
