Amali S. Subasinghe and Rana Morsy complete chemistry thesis defenses

Wayne State's Department of Chemistry congratulates Amali S. Subasinghe, Ph.D., on defending her thesis: "Fluorinated Lanthanide-Based Contrast Agents for Magnetic Resonance Imaging" on October 26, 2022, at Wayne State University. She completed her work under the direction of Matt Allen (advisor), Tamara Hendrickson, Stas Groysman and Robia Pautler (Baylor College of Medicine). Amali's next stop in her chemistry career is the MD Anderson Cancer Center where she will be a postdoctoral fellow.

Rana Morsy successfully defended her thesis: "Implementation of Free Radical and Dehydrative Methodologies for Total Synthesis of Biologically Active Natural Products" on October 11, 2022. Rana completed her work under the direction of Jennifer L. Stockdill (advisor), Jeremy Kodanko, Zhenfei Liu and Judy Westrick.
