Tips for transfer students
Get involved in clubs or other student organizations on campus so you can meet new people who share common interests as you. Also, do not be afraid to explore Detroit. There are so many fun and interesting places to see and visit.
Why did you choose WSU?
I chose Wayne State because both of my parents went to school here. My mom graduated from the nursing school in 1997 and my dad graduated from the medical school in 1992. I also love Detroit. I love to go to the Eastern Market to get fresh and local produce as well as shopping at other stores there like Devries & Co, Rocky’s, and Detroit vs Everybody. I am excited to live in Detroit while it’s on the uprise and I am looking forward to the opportunities that will arise both at Wayne State and in Detroit.
Favorite place on campus
My favorite spot on campus in the Mort Harris Recreation and Fitness Center. I enjoy going to the rec center and trying out different fitness classes that are offered to WSU students for free. I also love to study in the Detroit Public Library. The history and architecture are breathtaking.
Fun fact
I am a member of the WSU women’s club soccer team!
