Zavin Nazaretian earns Ph.D.

Zavin Nazaretian successfully defended his dissertation "Social Status, Opportunity and Repeat Victimization: The Unequal Distribution of Safety" on Thursday, May 8, 2014, becoming the fourth Sociology graduate student this calendar year to achieve Ph.D. status.

Zavin has accepted a position as assistant professor in the criminology department at Indiana University of Pennsylvania and will begin teaching in fall 2014. Congratulations, Zavin!
