Victoria Velding defends dissertation
Congratulations to Victoria Velding the sociology department's newest Ph.D.
Velding successfully defended her Ph.D. dissertation,"Growing up Tween: Femininity, Masculinity, and Coming of Age" on Wednesday, July 29, 2015 to her committee advisor, Dr. Heather E. Dillaway, Dr. Krista Brumley, Dr. Janet Hankin and Dr. Anne E. Duggan (Classical & Modern Languages, Literatures, and Cultures).
Dr. Velding has accepted a visiting assistant professor position at West Virginia University. She will begin the fall 2015 semester teaching gender, race, family and social problem courses for the Department of Sociology and Anthropology.
