Sociology undergrad and facilities employee passes from COVID-19
The Department of Sociology and Wayne State community mourns the untimely passing of Darrin Adams, a sociology undergraduate major and WSU facilities employee to complications from COVID-19.
Darrin was an all-star student in his courses and a treasured colleague to many. Sociology faculty remember him for his poignant questions and comments about race and sitting in the front row in his Warrior green uniform. President Wilson's words ring true for us all, "He was one of us, and we all grieve his loss."
We send our deepest condolences to his family, friends, colleagues and classmates across campus and the city of Detroit.
More details about Darrin's life, a special tribute, and resources for students confronting loss from the COVID-10 virus will be shared soon.
