KCP Fellowship and BEST Internships Awarded

PhD Candidate Victoria Velding was recently selected for the King-Chavez-Parks Future Faculty Fellowship for the 2014-15 academic year. This non-service fellowship is awarded to doctoral students that intend to pursue a full-time post secondary teaching position and is funded with the support and assistance of the Martin Luther King. Jr. - Cesar Chavez - Rosa Parks Initiative.

Additionally, doctoral students Annie Sumareh and Anthony McDuffie were selected for the BEST (Broadening Experiences in Scientific Training) Summer Pilot Internship program. This new program matches grad students to internships based on the students area of interest with the intent to integrate their PhD studies with the knowledge and skills of other disciplines.
