Charlotte Winston successfully defends dissertation

Charlotte R. Winston, graduate student in sociology, successfully defended her doctoral dissertation on March 17, 2014, and will receive her Ph.D. at WSU's May graduation ceremony.

Her dissertation is titled, "Does Group Affiliation Matter? Assessing the Influence of Religious Involvement on Health Behaviors Among Gender and Racial/Ethnic Groups." Charlotte's dissertation advisor was Department Chair, Janet R. Hankin and her other committee members were R. Khari Brown, Heather Dillaway, David Merolla and Todd Meyers.
