Congratulations to the Graduate Student Neuroscience Society

Yesterday the Graduate Student Neuroscience Society (GSNS) held their annual "Brain Awareness Day" at the Detroit Science Center. They presented a number of displays on brain anatomy, the importance of healthy brains, brain-related arts and crafts, and the ever popular live Aplysia exhibit. The response to the exhibits was overwhelmingly positive (I heard Rachel Nevada mention the exhibits on WJR!), and attendance was incredible. The exhibits were set up at the exits of the "Our Body Within" exhibition, so the timing couldn't have been better. The students did an incredible job; their departments and the College should be proud of their efforts. The following students participated (I apologize if I am missing anyone): Casey Greer, Catherine Spuz, Andrew Bender, Daniel Jacobson, Elena Schifirnet, Mitchell Walker, Deborah Williams, Cheryl Dahle, Bayley Zito, Yiqin Yang, Juan Qu, Ira Mulo, and Sarah Kimar. Attached are a couple of photos from the event.
