Cano delivers keynote at international health psychology conference

Department of Psychology Associate Chair and Professor, Annmarie Cano, gave a keynote presentation Sept. 17 at the Topical Conference - Interventions: From Underlying Mechanisms to Prevention and Rehabilitation at Sweden's Orebro University. The international conference invited experts from across the globe to meet and discuss timely topics in health psychology.

Cano's talk was titled "Emotional Validation and Invalidation in Chronic Illness: Conceptualization, Measurement, and Applications to Clinical Work."

Psychology Professor, Mark Lumley, also participated in the conference as a discussion facilitator.
