In addition, they have garnered competitive postdoctoral and academic positions where they are making important contributions to psychological research. In their letters of support, Abbey's students praise her collaborative style in developing research projects and her encouragement to students to take on leadership roles. But most of all, her students appreciate her generosity of time and her genuine concern for their professional and personal well-being. She is truly an inspiring teacher.
