Alumni Highlight 2015: Mark Harris and Lonnie Snowden
Mark Harris
Mark Harris serves as vice president of Human Resources for Dell's Operations & Client Solutions. Prior to this role, Mark served as vice president of Human Resources for Dell Americas Operations where he supported all operations-related functions in Brazil, North Carolina, Ohio, Reno, Tennessee and Texas.
Mark has also held the positions of director of Human Resources for Americas Talent Acquisition and International Human Resources; Director of Human Resources for Client Product Group; and director of Executive and Organization Development.
Mark joined Dell in 1997 following seven years at PepsiCo where he held a variety of positions including director of people and organization capability, director of human resources and manager of management training and development.
Prior to PepsiCo, Mark worked as a consultant on staffing systems design and implementation. Mark earned a bachelor's degree in Psychology from Gonzaga University in Spokane, Washington and a master's and doctorate in industrial and organizational psychology from Wayne State University in Detroit, Michigan.
Lonnie Snowden, Ph.D.
Lonnie R. Snowden Jr., a 1975 graduate of Wayne State's Department of Psychology's clinical and community Ph.D. program, is the 2014 recipient of the American Psychological Association Award for Distinguished Contributions to Research in Public Policy.
Snowden is a University of California, Berkeley Graduate School professor and on the faculty of the UC School of Public Health.
