Wayne State's online master's in criminal justice program receives national ranking

Wayne State University's online master's in criminal justice has been ranked as one of the top 25 such programs in the nation by nonprofitcollegesonline.com. The schools and programs ranked were evaluated based on publicly available information about accreditation, academic quality, student satisfaction, reputation and cost.

Wayne State's program launched last year in the College of Liberal Arts and Sciences enables students to complete their degree in less than two years by taking just two courses per semester, year-round.

The online program is identical to the Department of Criminal Justice's traditional classroom-based curriculum and focuses on a broad range of criminal justice issues, emphasizing both the problem of crime and the criminal justice system's response to it. Students learn the latest evidence-based practices for crime control, how to understand and interpret data, and how to find resources to implement innovative methods.
