The annual CLAS Undergraduate Research Symposium celebrates the remarkable contributions our students make to scholarship at Wayne State University.

The 2021 CLAS Undergraduate Research Symposium takes place from April 14 - 16 and will highlight research across the life, social and physical sciences. The symposium, which is open to the public, will take place at go.wayne.edu/2021UGR.

Among other topics, presentations will focus on the history of segregation in Detroit Public Schools, potential internal causes of ancient mammal extinction and the impact public bike-sharing programs may have on cyclist injuries.

"Our CLAS Warriors never cease to amaze me," said College of Liberal Arts and Sciences Dean Steffi Hartwell. "Despite this tumultuous year, they were able to work on some truly inspiring research projects."

Symposium attendees are invited to virtually chat with student researchers and vote on their favorite projects from 3 - 4:30 p.m on Friday, April 16.
