CLAS faculty receive National Endowment for the Humanities award

Drs Liette Gidlow, History, Scott Richmond, English, and a team headed by Krysta Ryzewski, Anthropology, have all been awarded a National Endowment for the Humanities award.

Dr. Gidlow received a summer stipend of $6,000 for her project "Black Women's Disfranchisement and the Fight for Voting Rights, 1920-1945."

Dr. Richmond received a summer stipend of $6,000 for his project "A Theoretical and Historical Account of Media Viewership".

Dr. Ryzewski and a group of other WSU faculty members received a Digital Humanities Start-up Grant of $60,000 for the project "Ethnic Layers of Detroit: Experiencing Place through Digital Storytelling". Other faculty and staff involved in the project include:
