CLAS alumni receive university's Distinguished Alumni Award

Two CLAS alumni recently received Wayne State University's Distinguished Alumni Award during WSU's 2014 homecoming game. Wayne State University Police Chief Anthony Holt (CLAS '70, '82) and noted physicist Dr. Sultana N. Nahar (CLAS '87) received the honor during the Sept. 27 Alumni Awards program.
The Distinguished Alumni Award is reserved for Wayne State alum who demonstrate outstanding service to the university over a period of years; personal accomplishments that enhance the prestige of WSU; distinguished service or accomplishment in any field of human endeavor; or singular contributions to the development of the cultural or spiritual life of any community.
