Professor earns Simons Fellowship
Professor Guozhen Lu of the Department of Mathematics has been awarded a Simons Fellowship in Mathematics from the Simons Foundation for academic year 2015-2016. The award allows Professor Lu to extend one semester of sabbatical leave into two semesters.
Professor Lu will spend his fellowship year engaged in research projects on multi-parameter harmonic analysis, sharp geometric inequalities and their applications to partial differential equations. Activities will include collaborations with other professional mathematicians and supervision of doctoral students.
The Simons Foundation awards up to 40 Simons Fellowships in Mathematics each year.
