Prof. Lawrence Brenton wins Polya Award for exposition

Professor Lawrence Brenton was awarded the George Polya Award by the Mathematical Association of America for his article Remainder Wheels and Group Theory, published in the March 2008 edition of the College Mathematics Journal.

Prof. Brenton is well known for the quality of his teaching and exposition. He has been awarded the President's Award for Excellence in Teaching and the College of Science Teaching Award. In addition, he has directed numerous master's essays and undergraduate research projects.
